Redwood Forest Research Paper
I been living in the Redwood National and State Parks for my whole life, and I’m going to stay here for the rest of it too, but it’s not been boring at all. I’m the highest redwood tree in the forest, standing 379.7 feet tall. I have big, thick branches with abundant leaves at the end, and I am one of the most visited trees in the forest because of my impressive height. I remember that when I was growing up, I could see more people come and visit the park than what I see this day. This may not be a problem now, but it may lead to a big problem because if fewer people keep coming, fewer people will take care of nature, which that may lead into many bigger problems. Furthermore, people have been cutting down trees to use the land for other uses. About a quarter of the redwood forest has been lost forever to land conversion (Save the Redwoods). Since wine is very popular here in California, the land that people are converting will be turned into vineyards. People are turning the land into vineyards because they can earn a lot of money out of selling grape. This is due to the wildfires, the global warming, and the land conversion. Animals are affected by wildfires because the fire may burn down their habitats and even kill them too. Furthermore, the animals are also affected by global warming because the animals that live in forests with the same climate as mine, they will need to live in a cooler climate, and if global warming keeps happening, the animals will not be able to live here anymore, and that makes me very sad.
