Insight 1: Receiving Privileges Has Become a Norm Firstly, the bubbles blown out of one of the stone buildings resemble how much Singaporean youths have been receiving since birth. Relating the amount of bubbles directing to the right side, they have become used to receiving so much that they take it as a norm. One example is that it is extremely usual for students to have the opportunity to be guaranteed of a high standard education here in Singapore, when other countries may not offer. This is evident by the huge number of foreign students coming to Singapore every single year.
As they are used to all the privileges, they become less appreciative. When one does not appreciate things, one is more likely to loose his sense of gratitude.

Teaching the art of giving back can be anywhere. Be it in school by the teachers, at home by the parents, or even in the society by the government. As a member of a Committee, it should not be wrong to propose a campaign to remind the youths of how grateful they should be and to teach them to give back to the people in need, as the saying goes, “Give more than what you receive”. It can be in a form of short commercials in the television. If the youths are constantly reminded about gratitude while watching the television, at some point of time, this piece of information will be stuck in their minds, and thus more likely to have the sense of gratitude without much
