The National Science and Technology Week with Expo Science 2013 held at the SMX Convention Center showcase the latest innovations, interventions and inventions of Filipino scientists, engineers and various works by the entire scientific community.
What stood out to me the most about this expo are the inventions of the schools participating in this expo are impressive not just that their inventions but also they are just student but they can already think excellent innovations. I hope someday their ideas will be use in the future so that their ideas wil not be wasted.
But sadly my school is not a participant in this expo. I hope maybe next year they will able to make an entry.

IV. Personal Testimonial in Expo Science

At first, I thought that the expo that I was going to was a boring one because I have no interest in the theme of the expo. Then when I was in there, I was amazed on the inventions of people participating there. We explore the ones that caught our attentions. Asked questions about their inventions. How does it work and how it can help our community.

Elizabeth Bishop’s “The Hanging of the Mouse”, places animals in the roles of humans in reference to an execution. The writer uses animals to replace humans to possibly convey a message or point of view towards the death penalty. In the story, the mouse is being executed for what we believe is some sort of crime. It isn’t clear whether or not the mouse actually committed a crime, but we are led to believe that an act occurred in which caused the mouse to be executed on this particular day.…

This week, July 23 to 27 2013 we are celebrating National Science and Technology Week or NSTW 2013. NSTW is an annual event organized by our DOST. This event helps to showcase different products, concept and technologies that DOST developed. Why I want to go in this event is that it can help me to be a good student and citizen helping my country in raising its economy like the other country in the world. Like what the theme of the event said: Science, Technology and Innovation: The Road to a Smarter Philippines. I know with the help of Science and Technology we can make the Philippines smart like others. In case of emergency, we are ready. That’s why this event also prepare an activity called Climate Change and Disaster Mitigation on July 23, the start of the NTSW. It will tackle some livelihood demos and the switching of NOAH’s sensors. Project NOAH helps us to be ready in case of calamities. In the next day, July 24 there is another activity entitled Opportunities in S&T-led businesses; Countryside Development. Based on what I have read there is a part of the activity called Smarter Kids, Smarter Scientists. This is for elementary students that can help them in doing some simple experiments and investigatory projects like now in high school we have a research subject which is unexpected. It will make the elementary students a good researchers and scientists in the near future. But the activity I really want to attend is on July 25 themed Industry Competitiveness. There is also a part Smarter Kids, Smarter Scientists which is now for high school students. I would really love if our teacher Mr. Merilles allowed us to go there. It will be a lot of fun and excitement. But there is also a part of the activity called “Biz on the Web”. This is a forum talking about online market that can help businessman to make money easier. Some of the biggest online entrepreneurs will be at the forum. It is a big opportunity for young adults to be there because it help them to be a…
