The Merriam-Webster Dictionary states stereotype means, “to believe unfairly that all people or things with a particular characteristic are the same.” In other words, the assumption that a group of people or things are identical in some aspect because they share similar traits. Stereotypes are based on a variety of traits including: race, height, weight, hair color, eye color, etc. In fact, the most commonly formed stereotypes are that of a person’s nationality.
