Stereotypes Against Racism
I was hanging out after school with a couple of my friends just listening to music like any afternoon. I was getting kind of bored so I got on my phone and went on Instagram. While scrolling down through endless amounts of pictures I stumbled on a video that was about Donald Trump. The clip that I saw included Donald Trump and a mexican news reporter. SInce it wasn’t the full clip I decided I would watch the clip when I got home. It was too of an interesting video not to watch and I bet I would be able to find the clip easily on Youtube.

When I got home I immediately, it was the first thing that I did, searched for the video for a few minutes. For the few the minutes I thought what would happen in the full video Boom there it was the clip

Jarashow told us that the quarterback,Colin Kaepernick, kneeled down during the national anthem was being sung during a game. In my head already I was questioning why would he do that and how is this even relevant to the question until Jarashow told us the reason which quite frankly surprised me very much. The reason he did this was because the creator of the national anthem was racist and how some lyrics on the national anthem use to have racist lyrics, another reason why he kneeled down is because he wanted to bring to light how unfair the police and that there is still racism. After hearing all this I was happy that someone was doing this, I was happy that it be a professional football player so that it can get attention, I was proud to be american. I didn’t show any emotion, I just sat there thinking about he did. Then after Jarashow told us that people didn't like him for doing that. Right there and then in my mind I was angry. In my head a thought that was being thrown was” why would they hate him if he's doing something that is very noble” in my opinion.I wanted to find out why people hated him and I did. Jarashow told us people hated him because people thought he was disrespecting the people who lost their life during 9/11 since I think it was in a few days or it was that

Secondly, Boren shows he is well aware there will be repercussions and he well emphasized he isn’t looking for approval. Moreover, Kaepernick explains they can take away everything that he has been given, it still won’t change his mind. The effect that was made in the students facing these problems in their schools was very terrifying, some of them were in a point of being embarrassed of their heritage. They were embarrassed of being Mexican Americans, and this was something that had to be changed. The rise up of the Chicano students to demand their district officials for equal education rights in their school, was a movement that made the Chicano voice strong not only at East LA but all over the country. This is one point everyone should be able to understand, the video gives us the struggles Mexican Americans were facing at the time, and how they became together to overcome this issue is an example of unity something that we need to do now a days to become stronger and make our voices heard as a…

Accordingly, many support Kaepernick in light of the fact that they believe in opportunity of expression, but also because these actions bring awareness of an issue faced by people of color. In the article, “Colin Kaepernick had no choice but to kneel” by John McWhorter clarifies reasoning behind these actions. “The idea that Colin Kaepernick’s refusal to stand during the national anthem is unpatriotic fails doubly first, in a mistaken notion of what real patriotism is, and second in missing a larger point.” The writer believes Kaepernick kneeling is being taken out of context, the intent isn’t to show disrespect towards the military. Additionally, Kaepernick’s kneels is to highlight intense relations amongst cops and black men, media overlooks…

These actions were viewed in all different way and from all different types of people. From your everyday fan to players, coaches, owners and even the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump. And not everyone was in favor of Kaepernick choice to protest during the National Anthem. “I agree that America is not perfect. I agree that there are a lot of issues with minorities in this country. And I agree that we should do something about it. But I don't know if the most effective way is to sit down when the National Anthem of a country that has provided you freedom and is provided you $60 million a year is the best way to do it, when there are black minorities that are dying in Iraq and Afghanistan that are protecting our freedom for less than $20,000 a year” (Alejandro Villanueva, Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman, Aug. 29, 2016). But the biggest moment during the last 13 months happened on September 22 2017 when president Donald Trump stated “Wouldn't you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects the flag, to say get that son of a bitch off the field right now. He's fired. He's fired”. This single quote would spark outrage…

The topics that I intend to research are some stereotypes associated with race. Also, how these stereotypes are portrayed through the consumption of children’s products. I intend to argue a point in my research paper that race is not associated with biological features, but through consumerism it is constantly associated with them. I intend to research the typical stereotypes types associated with the Hispanic, Black, White, and Oriental races. As a child, being black was never an anomaly for me. I was educated on the issues of white privilege and how black people are often targeted in a world riddled with injustice; my family on my mother’s side hailed from the deep south, so my grandparent’s lives were obviously filled with the turmoil of the racist south. While equality was always something on my mind, even as a child, being born (and raised for a semi-short while) in New York opened my eyes to the many cultures, religious, personalities, genders, and sexualities of the world. Despite this, the general heteronormative nature of the black community (and the bigotry that can spawn from it) worried me especially in a time where I was still learning about myself.…

Donald Trump is a 69 year old business man who when debating can only respond by heckling “wrong!” at his opponent or by reading off a script written by a team of qualified advisors. The soon to be president also often takes to twitter regularly to have a tantrum and here the true extent of his immaturity is revealed. One of his most outrageous and inappropriate twitter outbursts was posted January 2016 after the terrorist attacks in Paris. He tweeted “isn’t it interesting that the tragedy in Paris took place in one of the toughest gun control countries in the world?” This really shows the level of decency Trump has, while the rest of the world offered condolences and prayed for the dead Donald trump took to social media to boast about why he thinks everyone should have access to a gun. The French ambassador replied, “This message is repugnant in its lack of any human decency. Vulture”. Coming from the future president of the US this comment was malicious and inhumane. No person with a brain cell would vote for a man so indecent. However, some people in USA actually support Trump’s crude use of language as they believe he is just being honest (and don’t get me wrong an honest politician would be a fresh breath of air) but they actually applaud his rudeness and…
