Quality In The Lioness And The Vixen
“Quality over Quantity” is the moral derived from an Aesop’s tale entitled” the Lioness and the Vixen” ("AesopFables.com - The Vixen and the Lioness - General Fable collection," n.d.). In essence the phrase is the moral of a conversation between the two entities. The vixen sarcastically boasts of her fertility in order to demean that of the lioness’s singleton birth whereas the lioness brazenly replies with “but that one is a lion”. In this statement by the Lioness, she exclaims her one cub to be superior that of the vixen’s entire offspring. Likewise, Merriam Webster described quality as a characteristic or features that someone or something has: something that can be noticed as a part of a person or thing, a high level of value or excellence, superiority, peculiar and essential character. “QUALITY IS THE CENTER OF PATIENT CARE” is an American Hospital Association website motto that places emphasize on the words “Quality” and “Patient” to serve as a cue to first, integrate patient preferences and values so as to obtain an optimal level of care.
Therefore, the role of quality in healthcare can be said to describe the technical, subjective and sentiment of providing care in a context that the patient will perceive as superior value. A person

Furthermore patient centered care, creates opportunities for the client to assert control and share in the decision making process thereby strengthening the patient-professional relationship and patient buy in. Therapeutic rapport development enhances a patients susceptibility to guidance in the following areas; reciprocal communication and education, making healthier lifestyle choices, setting realistic limitations, in addition to fear and anxiety
