Pumpkin Pie Research Paper
I decided to focus on the American annual tradition of Thanksgiving. I chose Pumpkin pie which is a dessert that is full of pumpkin and spices. To prepare for this practical, at home I had to roast pumpkin until it was soft and I was able to puree it. I also had to prepare fresh pie dough at home which I would bake at school in the lesson. It was essential that I prepared these two major factors at home because if I were to do it at school there would not be enough time for the pie to have enough time to bake. I was very unfamiliar with the tradition before this practical so it was difficulty for me to taste the dish to check the sweetness and spice input.
A weakness that occurred during this practical was when it came to the baking process,

For example a weaknesses of the restaurant is that they change too much the products because they want to make the best product for everyone. This is risky because the customer will be confused about the exact taste of a pasta or pizza. They may like the first taste and when they order the same thing again the taste will be quite different, that they may not like.…

15 years, 14 weeks, 5 days and 44 minutes later, heretofore known as Now, Young Sigrid became ‘The Pie-Maker’, opening her own bakery, complete with a pie-crust roof and aptly named ‘The Pie Hole’. It was her sanctuary, a place where her gift of mysterious origin and dangerous consequence could do some good. No fruit ever went to waste in the Pie-Maker’s hand, but would retain its ripe flavour forever more, so long as she did not touch it again. When asked what it was that gave the fruit pies their fresh and flavoursome appeal, the Pie-Maker would shrug with a modest smile and simply said that it was her late mother’s recipes that made all the difference.…

The first memory I have of the Pantry was as a child and I would go up to the attic of the old farm-house on 1063 N. Dugan Rd., Urbana, Ohio. My parents, Harry and Donna Dachenbach, moved from the farm of John Yordy on St. Rt. 36 where my sister was born, to the farm on Dugan Rd. This would have been about 1937 or 38. The house was a very large two-story house with a long attic that was scary for a young boy because it was dark, dusty and filled with junk and trash. There was a pair of broken boards between the two sides of the attic that my sister told me, “If you fall through the break, you will fall all the way to the basement”. Though an absolute falsehood, I sucked it up and always gave a wide berth to the broken boards. There was a large family living on the farm before Mom and Dad moved in, I believe their name was Hess. Back in the late 1800's – early 1900's a family by the name of James owned and lived in the house. The pantry was stored up in the attic against one end and was covered in dust and bird poop. After we got a TV and I got to see “Captain Video and his Video Ranger”, the Pantry became my space ship console (no color TV…

Well, if I have to select between Thanksgiving and Christmas as my favorite festival, I will definitely choose Thanksgiving over Christmas, because we can eat turkeys and pumpkin pie in that time. I enjoy turkeys; however, it is equally important to maintain the health and stay far away from any health issues. Everyone loves Thanksgiving and everyone enjoys eating, we love to eat with our friends and family. However, people from any background and situations celebrate it in their own way; for example, a vegan may demand Asparagus salad, whereas a foodie may desire sugary spice pecans. What my point is, despite having various choices of food, health should be the utmost priority.…

I spent some time thinking of some meaningful places to me but the one that stands out the most is a table. Its not an ordinary table but rather yet a very long picnic table, one that could hold about forty people. During the summer months this table is filled with some of the most interesting and friendly people I have ever been around. For the past three years I have worked for a whitewater rafting company on one of the more challenging rivers in the Southeast. Our home base is what we call the “outpost”, its where we eat, sleep, shower, and live our lives in what some people might call a barbaric way of life. The outpost consists of about forty or so river guides that take people down challenging class four and five whitewater during the day and then come home for an evening of events at night. At the outpost we have one raft guide that has decided to lay down their paddle in order to supply the community with delicious food every night at 6. Tired from paddling on the river all day, river guides are relaxing but mostly hungry. Some are lying down in what we call “bungalows” it’s an extravagant way of describing the home…

Encapturing authenticity, dedication, and the American Dream, The Cheesecake Factory is everything you would expect a chain restaurant to not be. The Cheesecake Factory got their famous cheesecake recipes from a woman named Evelyn Overton. Overton decided to open up a small cheesecake shop in Detroit, Michigan in the 1950’s. About 20 years later, Overton’s son, David, opened a small cafe to feature his mother's famous cheesecakes on the menu. Another 20 years later, David Overton opened the first Cheesecake Factory restaurant and expanded his initial one page menu to include seafood, steaks, and vegetable dishes due to his tremendous success. A once quaint, and on-the-come-up cafe is now one of the most well known restaurant names to date.…
