During day one of my PTLLS course I understand this to be the first stage of teaching, and provide the stepping stone to further my path within teaching. * Understand my own role, responsibility and boundaries of the role in relation to teaching * My roles as a teacher are to facilitate the lesson/course, ensure the room/venue is suitable, provide refreshments, and ensure company guidelines are considered. To plan, design and deliver the lesson/course and to identify the learners needs as a whole and individually, by pre course information or an ice breaker/ information gathering at the start. * My responsibilities are to mange expectations of the learners to ensure they clearly understand what the lesson/course is going to deliver, and what they will be expected to achieve by the end. To comply and ensure Health and Safety is considered, by providing a safe room or site to deliver the lesson/course. To ensure Equality and Diversity is promoted through the course, ensuring everyone has the ability to participate regardless of disability, race or religion. To provide all learners with constructive feedback by continual monitoring and assessments * The boundaries as a teacher could be company guide lines, compulsory attendance for learners/unwillingness to learn, and current legislations such as Health and Safety, E&D, data protection. Funding the course, and where to obtain support for learners, who are unable to fund the course themselves.
