    I believe that the second amendment, the right to keep and bear arms, has been the most important in protecting citizens from possible governmental abuse because this amendment assures that citizens will always have a way of defending themselves against any risks or threats to their freedom. This amendment is a reminder to the government that they cannot and should not try to stop citizens from having the right to bear arms. I chose this right because I believe that without the second amendment the first amendment would not really make much sense because without the right to bear arms would mean citizens does not have the right to their freedom either. If the second amendment was taken away it would have such an enormous and negative impact on society. The crime rate would increase drastically because the criminals would know unquestionably that citizens are not able to defend their selves.
