How would you like to be a college athlete and work hard every week and weekend but in the end get paid nothing. This is what it is like for all college athletes. The NCAA banned all college athletes from profiting from their athletes. It is even illegal for a college athlete to sell their autographed jerseys. This seems unfair and needs to change. First of all collegiate head coaches get paid millions of dollars every year. An average collegiate head coach makes about 1.64 million dollars a year (Thyberg). While a college athlete make nothing. This seems unfair and needs to change because college athletes work very hard to be able to balance school and athletics.

    In my opinion, I am able to see both sides of this issue extremely well because I am a student athlete myself. Although I am not a student-athlete in the NCAA, I am a member of the University of Windsor women’s soccer team and have to balance being enrolled as a full-time student and a full-time athlete.
