Proper Attire for Men
Proper Attire for Men
Gentlemen, you can never go wrong with a solid-colored, clean-pressed suit. Something in khaki, brown, navy or black is best. When choosing an undershirt, be sure it's in a color that compliments the suit. White or off-white usually works best. When selecting a tie, be sure it is understated and matches your suit. Dark socks and shoes will complete the outfit and make you look professional.
If you're unable to wear a suit, a clean pair of pressed slacks and matching sport coat is an acceptable substitute. Just be sure to add a tie.
Proper Attire for Women
Ladies, you can choose to wear an attractive pants suit or a one with a skirt. If you decide on a skirt, be sure it only hangs ½ inch above the knee at most and choose skin-colored hosiery. Again, solid colors are best. Blue, black, brown, beige or grey are ideal conservative choices. Flashy colors and designs distract the eye from your background and resume and that's what you want to stand out most.
Pairing a white or off-white camisole with your suit will give you a crisp, professional look. As for shoes, closed-toed heels are best. Avoid anything strappy or open-toed as this can look unprofessional.

Women
* Always wear a suit with a jacket; no dresses * Shoes with conservative heels * Conservative hosiery at or near skin color (and no runs!) * No purses, small or large; carry a briefcase instead * If you wear nail polish (not required), use clear or a conservative color * Minimal use of
