Before going on long drives, it is also necessary to check the current condition of your tire. It is also wise to monitor the air pressure of the spare tires that you bring along so that it will be useful in times of tire complications. You can now proceed with putting the jack underneath the car once the tugs are already loosened. Just refer to your cars manual for frames in your car that are hard enough to hold the jack underneath.

4. The next step is to raise the car using the jack until it is raised fully off the ground. Then remove the wheel lugs completely and set them aside first. Be sure to put them in a secured place so that it will not be lost, you still have to use it after the spare tires are placed.

5. After which remove the flat tire in the wheel studs and replace it with the spare tire. Positioning the spare tire over the wheel studs is one of the most difficult step to be undertaken when changing a flat tire. Thus you have to fit in the holes of the wheel to the wheel studs.

6. Once the spare tire is hanging in the wheel studs, screw back each wheel lugs in place and tighten them up using a tire iron so that the wheel won't drop off.

7. The next step is to remove the jack once you see that the replacement tires are properly fastened in place. These spare truck tires should only be used temporarily thus most spare tires have limited speed but it does help you get back to your house or to the nearest service

The first step in changing your oil is to place the car jack under the frame of the car and lift it up high enough for you to lie underneath. This allows you to have easy access to the oil pan. After the car is lifted to a comfortable height, turn the car on and idle it for two to three minutes in order to warm up the oil. Heating up the oil allows it to drain more quickly and ensures you stir up all of the loose sediment in the oil. Once your car is warmed up and turned off, remove the oil cap. The cap is located under the hood of your car on top of the engine. This is where you will add oil after you are done draining the old oil. Doing this will help the oil drain more easily because air can flow in as the lines empty. Once this step is completed, you will need to lie under your car and look for a flat metal pan close to the engine. It should have a bolt or plug toward the bottom. This is the oil plug you will need to remove in order for the used oil to drain. Directly beneath the plug, place your pan with a couple of paper towels beneath that for catching the oil. Removing this plug can be tricky; the oil will come out of the pan as soon as you do this. You will begin by loosening the plug counter-clockwise with the proper sized socket wrench. Once you have loosened the plug with your wrench, remove it the rest of the way with your hand. Make sure you have your oil catch-pan placed directly beneath the oil pan before you remove the plug. You must also be careful not to drop the plug into the used oil; it is a messy job trying to find the plug in the black stuff. Now…

One of the first steps to changing a tire is to drive your car onto safe flat ground. No matter what you have to do to place your car onto flat ground that is safe, do it. Having a bent rim and a torn up tire, is way better than having your car smashed in from the back and a chance of you getting hurt. Also, you need to check your owner’s manual that should be located in your glove box. The owner’s manual will tell you where your jack, spare tire, and tire iron exactly are. Once you have located those three items, you can start to begin your journey on changing a tire.…

Driving is inherently dangerous, especially when sharing the road with semi trucks. While you can mitigate this danger by increasing your following distance behind these big rigs, passing one on a multilane road forces you to drive within a few feet of it. Likewise, only a few feet separate you from oncoming trucks on a two lane road. Because you can't entirely avoid these situations, you have to trust that the truck doesn't lose control or otherwise harm you.…

You then need to place your jack under the car, which the placement of is detrimental to your safety. If you place the jack under an unstable part of the vehicle it could move or bend what the weight is on and seriously injure or kill you. If you are using the jack that came with your vehicle it will sometimes have instructions on where exactly to place the jack. If you are not using the original jack then you will need to look for a flat sturdy spot, usually located around the area you are need to lift. Once you have found that location then you can raise the jack just enough to put pressure on it and yet not enough to actually raise your vehicle. This is for safety reasons, because before you actually raise the car up you need to loosen the lug nuts on the tire. You will want to loosen them enough to be able to easily turn the lug nuts but not enough to where the tire will tilt on the rotor. Once you have completed that you can then raise the jack up enough to be able to freely rotate the…
