What problems do you think might be associated with bringing customers together in the way that Boeing did? * * Even though there advantages in talking to customers in the formal way, well I think there will be a lot of problem that might associated with bringing customers together in the way that Boeing did. * As they maintained close involvement with its customers, they will face lots of problems. Detailed customer knowledge and focus that understand, anticipate and respond to customer needs. Managing customer expectations must have been a problem because as they ask a customer what they want, does not mean that you can give it they and not only that some of the customer will be having high expectation of what they want. The company’s new course is to understand its customers’ needs and then to transform that knowledge and if they can’t fulfil the high expectations needs of the customers. There will a problem occur. Boeing has been having some issue on selecting which customers to include. Most probably they chose the more important customers this is because the technique was being used partly as a sales promotion, but also they might have wanted to have included potential customers and had a reputation for capability person. * Bringing many customers together would have been time consuming and may even have slowed down the design project. The customers compete amongst themselves. They may not have been entirely open when talking to Boeing. After all the benefits of any suggestions they make are automatically also conferred on their rivals. * * * * * * * * * *
