Assessment
At the end of the hunt, you can either correct the papers aloud with pupils or alternatively you can pick up the papers and mark them your self.

Task:
Pupils will work together in co-op groups of three to four to find paper Easter eggs that will be hidden within the classroom.
Language targeted:
Classroom objects; prepositions of location, team work
Social skills:
To be able to work quietly together, and for all to have equal participation in the egg hunt.
Advanced Preparation:

Cut out several eggs, enough for minimum of 3 for each group.

Hide the eggs in the classroom in places students have easy access to. This activity may work best when the eggs are hidden in places where they can be spotted without rummaging: under the seat of a chair, but not in a closed drawer.
Procedure:

If necessary, briefly review the prepositions of the location of the eggs and make a note of where they are all hidden.

Explain the hunt to the class (see below)

Putting away in the correct place so they are able to find them easily is encouraging them to be organized. We have clearly labelled boxes, trays and areas where equipment can be found and stored; there are also visual signs around the classroom, particularly in KS1 for the younger children, to help them remember where equipment, books and toys belong. Making sure I store equipment away safely and well organized ensures I am not presenting any hazards or risks to anyone, for example, placing a puzzle at a height where a child may climb or stretch in order to reach it may cause injury or harm to the child or…

During a science lesson in class 2, I was observing a little group of 6 pupils. The learning activity was the pupils planting some seeds in plant pots and then drawing a plant and labelling it. During the lesson a had to communicate with the other teaching assistant to explain which seeds were in which pots and when I needed the water for the plants. She needed to know this because she was labelling the plant pots with the name of what seed was inside. We did this because plants need different types of care so she also wrote what care the plant needed on each label. Both me and the teaching assistant were then going to plant these plants with the pupils outside.…
