Woman respect that Elizabeth was an independent and smart woman, social classes still get in the way of relationships, and everyone still loves a Cinderella story like the one in the book. These three reasons are why people still love the book even after 200 years. The book has a lot of things that people can relate to, respect, and enjoy at the same time. “A real woman makes her own decisions in life. She’s responsible, and doesn’t follow but she leads. She’s always about accomplishing goals, and she never settles for anything less because she’s a woman, and nothing more” –Bryan Burden. This quote shows what a real, independent woman should act like. In Pride and Prejudice, Elizabeth is just like this. She doesn’t settle for anything for things just because everyone else does, and she also very smart and intelligent with her decisions. A lot of woman these days can really relate to Elizabeth, they want to be independent like she was. Since many women don’t get married in today’s world, some of them want to feel like they don’t need a man, just like Elizabeth didn’t desperately need a man.
