Precession Vs Astronomy
Precession is the motion of the Earth, as it rotates and wobbles on its axis. The Earth is tilted at 23.5 degrees from vertical. Precession is important to our view of the night sky because it causes the axis, which points to our north star, to wander. The axis currently points toward the star Polaris, but due to precession, it will eventually align with a new star.

As science has advanced over time, people have become less reliant on looking to the sky for explanations. For example, astrology was an ancient superstition that used to be very importantly linked to astronomy. People observed the positions of the sun, planets, and stars in a way that was meant to predict future events. This is one example of a culture that viewed the sky much differently than our culture does now.

I feel like it is more of a personal preference to get to become familiar with these phenomena. This subject can be hard for the human mind to grasp at times, so to attempt to make everyone aware of the same theories would be pretty illogical. If anything, I think it would be more our duty to know about biology-related sciences over astronomy-related sciences, because it seems like that would more directly affect us in daily
