Positive Interactions With Children
In General, teachers expressed positive interactions with children, were respectful, responsive, and reciprocal care provided. A warm, responsive, social, and emotional climate provided by gentle physical contact, eye contact, laughter and enthusiasm, calm voices and respectful language. Teachers provides a comprehensive approaches in which learning occurs such as select and arrange materials, make choices, provide opportunities for children to investigate, model how to find answer, provide information, ask questions, challenge children’s thinking, and encourage children to represent their ideas. On the other hand, teachers were able to handle conflict among the children in a positive manner by modeling behaviors that demonstrate cooperation,

    I provide a positive relationship with the child through daily routines and interactions allowing growth in in their development of self and others. Each morning I ensure that I greet each child and parent when they arrive. In greeting the child I will always address the child by his/her name and encourage the other children to say good morning. I feel this gives the child and parent a sense of trust and security for a safe and secure environment and this acknowledgment makes the child feel special and welcome in the class. In the mornings I also have open centers where the children can go around and greet the other student and to move and work at their own pace.     To developing positive relationships with the children is the main key to a happy and calm environment. Without a positive and supportive attitude there will be no trust and honesty between ourself and the children. They will not feel like they can talk to us which may mean they could be keeping something important inside, which could affect their learning or social skills. Having good communication skills will help us develop better relationships especially with younger people.
