Pharmacist Research Paper
The average Pharmacist is employed by one of these three employers; pharmacies/drug stores, hospitals, or grocery store pharmacies. The outlook for the pharmaceutical field is fairly high in all parts of the country. With nearly 286,400 people currently employed as Pharmacists across the United States, the growth is 3.7% higher than the average of all other career fields, meaning it is growing faster than average, therefore will need more and more people coming into the field. The average annual job openings are very high, at about 10,980. The pharmaceutical field is already a large occupation and will only keep growing, constantly needing young minds to tackle the new diseases and handle the new drugs.

Professional program is the University of Minnesota (U of M), Twin Cities. The U of M is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, an urban community. The program I would be looking at going into is the Pharm.D. Professional Program. The program has a 44% acceptance rate. This school is a public university founded in 1851. Located only one mile from downtown Minneapolis, this school has a student body size of 51,526 students. The in-state tuition is about $13,840, while out-of-state tuition is about $22,260. To be considered for the U of M, one must need a High School Diploma or GED, and the following classes within high school; four years of English, three years of Math, three years of Science, two years of Foreign Language, three years of Social Studies/History, and one year of Arts.
