Automobiles are a big part of most people's day, especially in Big Rapids, a rural community. As time goes on people are going to have to start paying attention to pollution and the environment, and electric cars are big help in reducing emissions. According to solvingev.com there is only one electric car charging port in Big Rapids. This needs to change as this is discouraging anyone in Big Rapids who wants to buy an electric car.
Ferris State should sell all their utility vehicles and replace them with electric cars. If Ferris State University sold of their cars in all departments and placed in charging ports in parking lots around campus, this could start a trend around Big Rapids, and save the school a lot of money. It would also increase the school's reputation in reducing pollution. The University can also receive large grants from the Environmental Protection agency.
