Teenagers have the highest average annual crash and traffic violation rates of any other age group. Teenagers today have become one of the most dangerous people who drive, they are even more dangerous than old people. There are many things teens do while driving that are not save and violate laws and safety procedures that keep people safe on the road. One of the major things teens do while driving is having a lack of attentiveness. whether it is changing the radio station or thinking about something else other than driving, it is very dangerous. Teenagers have an attention span of about five minutes, even with the most healthiest teens they can not focus one one thing for more than twenty minutes. Inattentiveness can lead to a change in vehicle procedure, such as an increase of speed and potentially speeding through a stop sign or traffic light causing an accident. With speeding it can cause the teen to follow too close to the driver in front of them. If the driver has to brake quickly or is slowing down to make a turn the teen will not have enough time to brake, and they will rear-end the driver. Teenagers are commonly known to drive recklessly, which can lead to a lot of dangerous actions.
