Hundreds of Millions of dollars all around the world are being used to pay our athletes. My question is should they be paid this astronomical amount of money. Certain athletes earn millions while various people all around the world can barely afford the necessities, such as food, water and shelter. This is a problem that desperately needs to be addressed. To achieve this we should employ taxes, but the money made off this should go to charity, also we should lower salary caps, thus we restrict the amounts teams can spend on their players. In this report, I will be explaining why athletes should be paid less…

The premiere athletes of today’s sports can make upwards of 30 millions dollars in one year. This alone can raise some eyebrows. Now take into account that this amount of money is 75 times as much money as the President of the United States made last year. The President, by their pay, is less important than an athlete, like a LeBron James, but this couldn’t be any further from the truth. Compared to an actual beneficial job, like teaching, the athletes we gladly shell out millions of dollars for are very overpaid.…

Many people think that footballers are paid too much money for doing too little effort. However, this can be argued because they are people who have dedicated their entire life to this sport and therefore they should be rewarded. This leads us to the question: Do footballers deserve high salaries? Firstly, some famous footballers are paid huge amounts of money such as Cristiano Ronaldo who are paid millions of euros every year to play for his parent club Real Madrid . Currently the highest paid footballer is Lionel Messi who earns £40 million per year not including his sponsership money which is ridiculess . This makes us feel that it is unreasonable that there are so many people dying of famine in the world and these people are given so much money for performing an insignificant effort. It even make us feel irritated to know how these football players waste their money in wants that are of no use such as Etoo who plays for Inter Milan in Italy . Eto ownes about fifteen expensive cars at the moment and people may argue that the money should be used wisely. A lot of money is needed for many purposes: for example for the aid of starving people in the less economically developed countries or in the building of more hospitals for our own health and security.…
