Personal Statement: My Role At Jordan High School
I feel confident to say that i am on the path to a greater future. My role at Jordan High School is to be a student and to work well with others.Hopefully I would join a club next year so it could look good on a college application.I am pretty sure that I have not failed a class in the past and hopefully that will continue in the future.A bad habit of mine is losing focus easily. It is hard to regain my focus but it is possible I feel like I got a good amount of strengths that help me.I could work independently pretty well, but I can work with others as well. I know how to be respectful and listen pretty well which is basically a good skill.I was raised to know right from wrong.I do not like to give up and I try my best in everything.I

The reason my academics aren’t going well as you or I would like is because of the several family issues I’ve had to face during my high school career. It began my Sophomore year, I found out my mom needed surgery in her arm so the chances of her cancer spreading would be reduced. I was under a great deal of stress worrying about my mother, taking care of my four siblings making sure they knew everything was going to be okay, even though I wasn’t sure myself. It was all up to me; while my other brother worked to help with bills, my mom being in the hospital, and my dad working. Taking care of my siblings consisted of cooking, homework, cleaning, nightly routine, and putting them to bed. When the work was done it would be around 10 o'clock. It was already tough to buckle down and focus on homework without all the stress. With all this my first semester grade was less than great.…

III. Strengths and weaknesses – One of my strengths is in self-knowledge. It states that when I say I am going to do something or care for someone, I will follow through with it, which is entirely true. Even within my gaming community, when it involves people playing fictitious characters on a computer screen, when I tell someone I am going to do something for them, I follow through with it to the best of my ability. Also when it comes to someone asking me a question in game about something, I will research everything I can find until I have the correct answer to give them. My weaknesses are with becoming too judgmental and legalistic, meaning I can become overly rigid with my expectations and obsess over minute details. I do have a tendency to get upset if someone does not do what they say they are going to do and tend to label them not so much as unethical, but as lazy.…

The vision of work that I have with children 5 years from now is to teach for a while then transfer into the role of a Program Coordinator to help design additional instructional and interactive materials for birth to Pre-K candidates that will help enhance their cognitive, social, reasoning, conception, fine and gross motor skills. I plan on developing technology or assessment tools that will allow teachers to help their students better understand different concepts or performing acts. I want the material draw interest of the candidate in which they will be involved and will not lose interest. In order for this to happen I plan on using the resources around me such as DPI, Smartstart services, and/or providing a survey to educators and…

I find that my strengths include achievement motivation, school engagement, and reading for pleasure. I'm strong in these areas because I'm a naturally competitive person and find the need to compete with myself to do better then how I did before. My school engagement is because I have a natural interest and enthusiasm for learning new topics. Reading is a strength because it helps me understand people better, it allows me to look into the world and mind of someone new and get and understanding of why they are doing what they are doing. Although I hold these strengths I am most definitely not a perfect…

I have many strengths as well as areas to grow in, some of them overlap as both a strength and an area of growth. One of my strengths is trying hard to get any job put in front of me done no matter what it may be. Another is the inability to say no to anything someone asks me to do such as pick up a shift at work or can you help them at home. This one is as much an area of growth as it is a strength. Some areas of growth that I am focusing on improving include being more patient and not speaking too much.…

My academics in high school were good I maintained a B or C average. My favorite class is science. I always did good in my science classes because I found the material to be easy to learn because it’s very interesting. I tried to take an AP course but I wasn't ready for it. I am a hard worker and when I find myself struggling in the class I ask for help from my teachers. Also all four years of high school I was lucky enough to be included in AVID program. Ever since elementary school I have been very dedicated to my school work and as I grew up I always had my mind set on college. My family has never really been the role model type which always made me push myself even harder to make a better name for myself and not end up how most of my family has. I'm not going to lie, I have let a few things slip because I piled a lot on myself which is no excuse. Whether or not my grades have always been perfect or if I have the highest GPA or class rank I have always cared about school and plan to strive in college. Out of all of my years in high school I would say that my sophomore year had the most impact on me. I have always moved around but I usually stayed in the same area. The summer before my sophomore year I moved from Florida to North Carolina with my mom and my little brother. Getting away from all the people I…

The traits within myself that I identify as my strengths are my constant observation and drive to improve the world. While at first glance, these traits may appear to be everyday characteristics of people, but I feel they are the solid foundation which my other strengths, like leadership, organization, creativity, and balance and are built on. In high school, I was stage manager for the fall musical, a job that included being the point person for one hundred plus students for three months, communication between the production parties, and making sure everything ran on time. My observations as well as interviews with past stage managers and research helped me build a solid foundation…
