I believe in money. I believe in money because without money I wouldn’t be able to do half of the things I want to do. Money buys me what I want. I work so therefore I get anything I want. I can buy different types of shoes with the money. I can buy me whatever type of Jordans I want which usually costs me around $200 because I wear a size 7 in boys. I can buy Nikes like slides or maybe practice or some good running shoes. I can even buy me different types of sandals like American Eagle, or Bermuda sandals, which are some good but expensive sandals. I can buy a lot of clothes for school and whatever else. I can buy Pink which is usually up to $50 or up for me because they are very expensive. I can buy clothes

The important pursuit of financial success is an idea that has been drilled into my head by the adults in my life from early on; my parents struggled in life, and for me they wanted a better, easier, future for me. What I took away from this was that I would not be successful and happy without the money and credentials as well. I could not understand why so many of my classmates wanted to be writers and artists; didn't they too want to be successful? However, the summer before my senior year, I had an idea that would change my thought process forever: a visit to the gateway of success, the Naval Academy.…

There is not one person out there that does not have a belief. If you accept it and you feel that it as the truth or if it exists then I belief it’s a belief. One of my many believes now is “Everything will turn out all right”. Every bad story has a happy ending, well that’s the way I see it now. Shortly after graduating high school, I began working at a hospital and I worked there for a few years, but soon things began to change as we got a new manager, people began to leave, new people came on board and shortly they began to let people go because of budget cuts. I didn’t think much about it until I was let go suddenly. At the moment I was speechless that so many thoughts were running through my head that I just walked out without saying a word.…

When I was eleven years old I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. I had a hard time coping with the changes in my mood. Part of my healing process consisted of trying many different medications, therapies, and developing the desire to heal. During this time, friends I had for many years pushed me away, and although I felt alone and confused at times, I came out thriving. Bipolar Disorder is a mood disorder thought to be caused by chemical imbalances in the brain that can result in extreme swings in mood—from manic highs to depressive lows. To be diagnosed with bipolar disorder, you must have experienced a high period (mania). Bipolar mania is described as an “extreme high,” or feeling unusually great. Most people with bipolar disorder when ill or when symptomatic experience more lows than highs. Unfortunately, the lows I experienced were so extreme that the friends I thought would be by my side through anything chose to follow other kids and use my disorder to bully me creating deeper depression. Initially, I felt stigmatized by my diagnosis. Most people I encountered either didn’t know what bipolar was or how to interact with someone suffering with the disorder. Teachers, peers, and family members had a hard time knowing what to say or how to act around me. I started to feel like I was no longer my own person but just one big disaster and my mood swings became even more extreme as a result. Eventually, I grew tired of feeling sorry for myself and began my quest for the right medication, vitamins, nutrition, psychological and spiritual health and wellbeing. I found my inner strength and courage. I put my energy into school, new friendships and family and started…
