Personal Narrative: New Earth Creationism
Creationism is Bona Fide Creationism is the religious belief that the Universe and life originated from specific acts of divine creation. Within Creationism are two groups of people: New Earth Creationists and Old Earth Creationists. New Earth Creationism’s definition is that that the world was shaped in a literal seven days as said in the Bible and that the world is around six to ten thousand years old. Old Earth Creationism is the belief that evolution goes hand in hand with creationism and that the world is around 4.5 billion years old. Some old Earth creationists believe that Genesis was merely a story and should not be taken literally, but most New Earth creationists believe that this is incorrect. I believe that humans were divinely inspired by God and created by God within 7 days, as well as the rest of the universe making me a New Earth Creationist. Over the 15 years I have been alive, many people have influenced my beliefs on Creationism and Evolution. The most impactful were my Seventh and Ninth grade teachers, Mrs. McCrary and Mrs. …show more content…
Because I believe in exactly what the Bible states, my faith grows as I read more of the Bible. This complete belief in the Bible causes me to be unshaken when my faith is attacked. It also helps me to spread the word of God without having doubts in what I am teaching. All the evidence supports New Earth Creationism, which is the belief that humans were divinely inspired by God and created by God within 7 days. Looking at the evidence for the bible and New Earth Creationism, one cannot doubt the belief of Creationism yet many still believe evolution because of the false support from scientists around the world. However, evolution has not been proven, but completely disproven. Because of the substantial evidence for New Earth Creationism and the untrue evidence for evolution, everyone should believe in New Earth

Experiences, circumstances and values shape the way we think, and give us a foundation for what will become our “worldview.” In order to make a decision on what these beliefs are, we can make judgments based on both faith and scientific knowledge. The origin of Progressive Creationism brings lessons from the Bible into balance with evidence from contemporary science. Progressive Creationism makes room for explanations to scientific findings by interpreting a much longer time frame for creation, but it does not negate an God as being present at every stage, and responsible for the miracles of the creation of life. Influences that have led me to consider this position come from family, church, science classes, and my own personal interpretation…

In (John 3:16) “God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son so that we could have everlasting life.” This gave me the understanding, that no matter what I am going through in life and all the things that I may have to give up for someone else is for a good cause. Having this faith in my heart makes me feel very spiritual. I have never had any doubt the Lord existing in this world. When I am lonely, depress, or stressing about things I have no control over, I know I can call on the Lord to get me through these emotions that I am experiencing.…

Those who do not agree with or live according to a Biblical viewpoint may believe that the Earth was part of the Big Bang Theory as suggested by Belgian priest, Georges Lemaitre in the 1920’s. (National Geographic) Others may believe in a worldview that is contradictory to itself. Such as the Naturalist who will state that laws of nature created the appearance of design but yet they cannot say where the universe came from. Something cannot come from nothing.…

Throughout my life I have always been committed and passionate in what I do. My faith fell first on this list. From a very young age I knew the importance and growth that came from knowing God and being an active member of a church family. The most influential person in my science and math career is Miss Landis. Before my sixth grade year, I only saw science as a subject where I would memorize the night before, take the test, and forget everything I studied. However, Miss Landis made science come to life. Science was like the ocean. When I only studied it to take my tests, it seemed like a massive tsunami that crashed down on my brain and left damage in the form of sleep deprivation. After I was taught by Miss Landis, science acted like the rolling waves, constantly connecting concepts together so that it would gently flow and build up as I learned more.…

However, young earth creationist believe that the world is only approximately six thousand years old. According to The Oxford Dictionary, creationism is defined as the belief that the universe and living organisms originate from specific acts of divine creation, as in the biblical account, rather than by natural processes such as evolution. The Oxford Dictionary also defines intelligent design as the theory that life, or the universe, cannot have arisen by chance and was designed and created by some intelligent entity. Tension between scientists and theologians arose in the 18th century, when it became obvious to most researchers that geological processes were exceedingly slow, and must have been accomplished over incredibly long periods of time. These…

In the Hebrew creation myth, we are presented with the idea, that God created the earth in seven days. It was all him, the divine creator, not faulty, but great and absolute. Ever since I was confronted with what was supposed to be my myth of creation, I was never quite happy with it. I found the idea of an earth created by someone rather than someone created by the earth to be against nature. It spoke against what I believed the earth to be. Divine, wonderful and distinctively itself.…

Where do we come from? The creation of the world has for centuries been told through many different stories, in different languages, and from a variety of religions across the world. The founders of each religion developed every creation story, and as religions vary greatly in beliefs, so do their stories of how the world and mankind were created. Although many of these creation stories differ, they have a close mystical and spiritual bind that brings people together. Two particular creation stories from very diverse religions are that of the Native Americans and the Christians. Unlike Christians who worship one god, Native Americans worship two high gods as well as a variety of natural and supernatural forces. Although both stories may differ from one another in determining their belief of creation, they both are similar in which both religions believe that through ceremonies and worship that they will be at harmony with god. Through their creation stories we can interperate their understanding of the world around them, how they view life, and how they are compatible and incompatible with one another.…
