For the past month, I have had major trouble with getting to sleep on time and staying asleep till the time I am able to get ready and board the bus to school. We all know that sleep plays an important role in our physical health. For example, sleep is involved in the healing and the repairing of our heart and blood vessels. If we don’t get enough sleep, we are at an increased risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and stroke. So it’s really bad when I look at the clock and it’s 3 AM, I’m still awake, and I need to be up by 6:30. It’s possible to run on low hours of sleep, but it’s also possible to drive a car that is low on gas. Without adequate sleep, you’re not going to go very far in the day without having

    Studying my sleep habits this week has been a an eye opener. I learned so much about my body in the last seven days. I learned that I responded better to waking up to an alarm, then someone coming in my room to wake me up. On an average, I got about seven hours of sleep a day. I was able to sleep more on days I did not have to workout for football. A trend I noticed is that I felt better in the morning, if I went to bed before 11:00 pm.
