Personal Narrative: My Shabbat Of The Year
Shabbat is defined as a festive day when Jews exercise their freedom from the regular labors of everyday life. Spring break was my Shabbat of the year. Throughout the year, I stress and worry day and night about school and other responsibilities, but over Spring Break I was able to disconnect myself from school, responsibilities, and electronics, and focused on spending quality time with family and close friends.
I started my break on a plane to Tallahassee. I stepped onto the plane with a negative attitude because I was waiting to go to the Keys. My family went to Tallahassee for my great grandmothers 100th birthday. Although it is a big accomplishment, I honestly just wanted to lay on the beach and hang out with my cousins. The airport
