As a camp counselor the last 4 years at a sleep over event that our local police department held for under privileged kids. I worked with over 300 kids every year, from all different backgrounds. The whole time being able to keep order by using my great communication skills. There were kids at the camp that spoke languages that I did know, but that did not stop me from being able to communicate with them and have follow the camp rules.
During the summer of 2016 I was chosen to assist active duty Marines at Camp Pendleton, California during a 2 week summer program known as “Devil Pups”. The class which I suggested be added was titled “Tolerance”. In it I detailed how I thought it was important to start having classes in early in elementary or middle school about the differences that exist among people in society. The concept was geared towards educating students at an early age about the difference that exist in people. By educating them the students would become knowledgeable and tolerant about people who were different than them. I did not win the contest but learned a lot about myself and how I think while preparing the paper I
