Personal Narrative: My Love For Christmas
Three things I want for Christmas I need three things for Christmas. For Christmas I need a new pair of Uggs, black tennis shoes, and a new north face jacket. My Uggs have been through snow rain, and more. Black tennis shoes are something almost every person should own. Also I need a new black north face jacket, before it gets too cold. For the live theatre show, I decided to watch “A Christmas Story, The Musical” directed by Valerie Easton at Vancouver Arts Club Stanley Industrial Aalliance Stage. The show focuses on a child named Ralphie, who wants a Red Ryder BB Gun for Christmas.Valerie’s production captured the happiness and cheerful atmosphere during Christmas and also focus on emphasizing Ralphie’s desire of a BB Gun as his Christmas present. During the show, I was impressed by many design and technical production elements. For example, the quick changes, the adequate use of theatre stage and also the use of sets to change from fantasy and reality. However, the most striking elements to me are the set piece of Ralphie’s house and the sufficient use of rigging system.…

I had great fondness for my gray Lebron 12s. I had anticipated receiving them for Christmas for two whole weeks prior of the holiday. I wore them through strenuous basketball practices, hooping on concrete courts throughout West Newton, and whenever I journed on the trail with friends. I even wore them to notable occasions like funerals or parties. They were always in immaculate condition, until March……

Hey Virginia, there is more than just a Santa Claus. Nowadays, Americans have either forgotten or ignored Christmas traditions put in place over 1500 years ago. They would rather indulge in the gifts and shopping to please their family than sit back and enjoy the holiday. This new mindset has led Christmas, Hanukkah, and other seasonal festivals to lose their religious intent through the past centuries by the hands of both people and markets. The original purpose of Christmas, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, has been trampled and overshadowed by a marketeer’s interpretation of how to represent the holiday. Santa and snowmen have become the faces of Christmas, instead of the Son…

A great work of art that has a great impact on my life is the novel A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickson. The story tells of a cold hearted, selfish business man named Ebenezer Scrooge, who is visited by his deceased business partner Jacob Marley and three ghosts on Christmas Eve. Jacob Marley who chained tells Scrooge that he should change his way or he will be punished in the after life. Marley beged for Scrooge to be given a chance to change. The ghost’s job is to persuade Scrooge to change his ways to avoid punishment in the afterlife. The three ghosts show Scrooge past, present, and future events that help Scrooge realize he is wrong and changes Scrooge into a better person. The story has had an impact on my life in many ways. The story taught me that a person’s behavior is a product of their past. If a person is unkind, it is the events that happened in their past that has made them who they are. It’s a reminder that showing compassion toward unkind people can make them a happier. The story has also taught me to treat people with kindness and respect. Lastly the story has taught me to always help the less fortunate because a little kindness can change a person's life.…

In the fall every year my aunt, uncle, their older kids (from Edmonton) and two cousins (who are at a school at BYU in Utah) all drove to my house for Thanksgiving. My brother, two sisters and i get very enthusiastic and we help every way that can, to give our parents a hand to clean up. We have 2.5 acres of land and a small forest in our yard (which we call the bush [because of its size]). The bush is where my brother and i use our imaginations to build fort and make our outdoor ‘‘man cave’’. Behind our bush is the trans-Canada trail (which we had to sell some our property for it), but it is a great place for lemonade stands for my family to have fun. After the trail is a dirt road that is our shortcut to Blackfalds…
