Personal Narrative: My Interview With Mr. Hugh Jundies
The person I interviewed was Mr. Hugh Jundies. Throughout the interview I tried to help Hugh by helping him process through his goal. I think this helped him really make sure the goal was his own and not someone else’s. After much processing he came up with his goal. His goal for the year is to do well in the blended program. This is important to him because he thinks that getting a higher GPA shows that he has higher dedication to the subject. He also feels as though, the more focus and time he puts into it, then the more knowledge and understanding of the subject. He also mentioned that getting great grades would make him feel better about himself. It also would prove to himself that he balanced his responsibilities well. After he told me …show more content…
He would also declare himself as a professional procrastinator. He told me that he tends to cram 3 days’ worth of work into one day; and sometimes he would only give himself four or five hours to do that much work. One of his biggest excuses, he says, is that his professor is typically an easy grader therefore, he does not have to work as hard. Another excuse he uses is that “I am always late so the professor will understand.” Being vague seems to be a problem in Hugh’s life. So, when he had to make a more specific goal, I helped him process that as well. He ended up with the goal to get all A’s in his masters classes. He also wants to understand the course assignments more clearly. He wants to start on this goal right away. When I asked him why it was so important for him to start as soon as possible, he said “the earlier the better”. The earlier he creates a set foundation the earlier he can create batter habits. He also said that he has finished one master’s class, and is taken one right now. In the class he finished he ended up with an A in and currently has an A in the class he is taking

That is amazing! I can honestly say a fish tank was not of high worry for me when it comes to things being hacked. I, like most people, think of my cellphone, tablet, and computer, of being hacked compared to my appliances (which non of them are smart so I am hopefully safe there). It's amazing how someone in another state or even country can access almost everything I own. A gentleman named Thomas Hatley, was awoken one morning by someone stating, "I can see all of the devices in your home and I think I can control them” (Hill, 2013). This stranger proceeded to prove to Thomas what she could do by turning his lights on and off. This man seemed astounded by the possibilities. It's amazing to me that some individuals still don't understand the…

Earlier this semester I had the opportunity to sit down with Dr. Kahn, and asked him some questions. I was interested in asking him questions because I had admired him as a teacher, and a person throughout the semester. I had never met someone who appeared as intelligent as Dr. Kahn, but was also down to earth. In class he spoke in a way that was easy to understand, he also accepted, and answered our questions no matter how ignorant, or insignificant.…

Today was the day. The big day. My election for Lieutenant Governor of Division 2B for Key Club, an international service club, was today. Fear and anxiety pricked my skin in rapid movements emanating from every pore. I rehearsed my speech for the fifth time that day. Upon arrival at the Fairfax Library, I urged myself to remain calm. I quickly scouted out the other girls who were present; one girl was dressed professionally with a folder in her hand. I knew that was my competition. The girl spoke eloquently and genially, she radiated enthusiasm and a certain warmth that I did not have. With every question that was asked, she answered with a smooth smile and high-pitched tone that was dripping with sincerity. I bristled inside; I had just been slapped. I was shrouded in a cloud of anxiety and anxiousness. Suddenly, I was dragged from my reverie.…

In January of 2012 my great grandmother, Charlena Ware, died. Everybody in my family was impacted by her passing, even my extended family. Her funeral was a family reunion of sorts. Although many members of my family were affected greatly by her passing, her death was the worst event in my life that I can remember. Before her passing, my great grandfather, Horace Ware, was the first to pass. From what my family tells me his death was the same caliber of tragedy as my grandmother’s. And after that, my grandmother on my dad’s side and my first dog died. However, my great grandmother’s death affected me the most out of any of those. In part because of my age, and in part because of the many memories I had of her.…

I headed to my first class which just so happened to be my favorite subject, English. The hallways were very wide but when filled with students I felt like I had to shove my way through just to get to my locker. The lockers were a mixture between Gray and purple. The school colors were supposed to be purple and silver but there was no way that these lockers could be considered. I took a look at the little piece of paper that the lady in the office had given me and tried out the combination on my locker. It took me about five minutes to open it and after struggling for that long I was a little irritated so when it did open, it flew open and slammed into the locker next to mine. I held my breath and hoped that nobody had noticed. I took a long deep breath and slowly opened my eyes again. Luckily I was still standing alone and nobody around was looking at me. I put my extra books and notebooks into the locker and and closed it as quietly as I could.…

This is a tribute to a man that has always been and will always be my mentor. His name is Alan Dale Jacobson, he is my father. He is not technically my father by blood, but he is by far the best father I could have ever asked for. I have known him my entire life as Uncle Al until I was 13 and he married my mother and our relationship went to a whole new level. He taught me many things like pride, honesty, to put my family above all things, and how to be an honorable man.…
