Personal Narrative: My Experience With Working With Helpdesk Staff
With an estimated 14,000 employees retiring from electric co-op’s across the nation in the next five years, this leaves jobs open to the up and coming workforce. It’s a well-known fact that technology is a leading factor in the future and there is an ever-expanding need for people with computer expertise to run the backend of data centers and solve day to day helpdesk problems. I’ve had multiple years of experience with working on a helpdesk staff. Through working on a helpdesk, I have gained experience working with people face to face to solve problems that occur on a day to day basis. With working in the educational environment, the helpdesk staff is constrained to a specific schedule on when they can get in touch face to face with a teacher

Growing up I had two loving parents, they always wanted the best possible for me. School was always challenging for me. I never liked it, and I never had a good work ethic. I am the best Rockstar Virtual Assistant for you because I am well-trained, efficient and goal oriented. My excellent communication skills, both oral and written, would be highly effective in the interaction with your clients and achieving your desired results for your business. What sets me apart from the rest is my experience working as a VA with a realtor in Baltimore, MD and in the local real estate industry here in the Philippines. Even before I Iearned about the terms lead generation and lead nurturing, I was able to put them into practice managing a Facebook page for my cousin who happens to be a broker. I post pictures of the properties he sells, which I personally took, and entertained inquiries which eventually led to selling a property to a lead who inquired on Facebook. Through this experience I learned the importance of earning a client’s trust at the onset of the initial interaction with them. Being consistent in providing customer support and letting the…

Sounds pretty similar to the agency I work for but it sounds like you had a lot more training then we did. Oddly, I was never asked or told to shadow anyone however, I did have a few nurses shadow me. I asked these nurses about it and they told me they weren’t getting paid for their time and I thought that was a little bizarre. I’m guessing that many agencies do not pay people for training after hearing your experience was similar to…

This week reminded me how amazing and important my job is. Friday was a busy day at the office; I was rushing to finish my work so I could leave on time. As I was about to leave I received a phone call from a hiring manager (Mark) with NOAA. Mark had questions about the interview process and was calling to speak to one of my colleagues. Instead of leaving, I spent almost an hour listening to Mark’s concerns, answering his questions, and I explained how the federal hiring process works. At the end of our conversation, Mark thanked me for my time and he told me…
