Personal Narrative: My Decision To Persevere
The decision to persevere can often be challenging as there are many factors to consider. One example of my perseverance was graduating from the high school I attended in Canada. Being the only ethnic minority different from Chinese made me feel isolated. I thought of transferring school many times. What kept me going was that the experience in this school matured me to become a more open minded and independent thinker. Above all, learning how to speak Mandarin was an advantage I could take in my future studies into business. I have grown to appreciate my Chinese classmates and have come to realize my decision to remain at this school was worth the hardship.
