I eagerly hand my ticket to the worker and get on board. The second I step foot on the boat, I am immediately bombarded with vendors trying to have me buy a souvenir. I take a look at the cheap material and then take a look at the price. I automatically reject the idea of buying anything on the boat. As I make my way up to the top level of the boat, an odd feeling in my stomach occurs. I can tell that it has affected another person because I can smell it. The nauseating stench of the vomit in the air makes me gag. It takes everything I have to hold it down. I turn and quickly run to safety. As we approach Liberty Island, I start to see how glorious She is. I make out the light green color of the faded copper that once was there. I dart to an area where I can get a better perspective of the statue. I draw my camera from its case and start clicking away. I want to capture every moment that I am experiencing. I see the sharp edges on the crown. I take into perspective the size of the statue. As I travel throughout the island, I locate the plaques with the history of The Statue of Liberty. I read all of them multiple times, each time finding more facts. I reach for a water bottle in my bag. The water has become a warm liquid due to the overwhelming heat that the day brings. My body tells me I need water immediately, so I bring myself to look past that the water is warm, and I begin to drink. Automatically, I pull the drink away from my lips. The salty taste of the water makes me cringe. I continue to walk around the grounds and study each detail. Scurrying tourists are surrounding every square inch on the island. I spin around and see New York City from a whole new perspective. I hear the booming blast of the aircrafts soaring in the blue sky above me. I look at the barf, brown waves on the Hudson River and see all of the other boats gliding across the water. I glance at my watch and realize that my way of transportation is leaving very soon. I take one last glance at everything and then scurry to the
