Personal Narrative-La Traffic Was Insane
LA traffic was insane! It took almost four hours to make the drive, although it was a Saturday.

My most recent trip was tracking to California to meet up with family. I flew into Santa Barbara where I stayed the night and the drove to Los Angles in the morning with my sister Tania.

We stayed at the Westin Bonavantire Hotel. It has a very unique lobby.

The views walking around beautiful Los Angles.

We walked through the Grand Central Market which has some amazing food and very interesting restaurants.

In this photo it seems as if everything around me is almost standing still.

We ended our trip at the Griffith observatory. What a view!

We usually take trips during breaks from school, like spring break or winter break, or during the summer, but we rarely take big trips on the weekends. We left friday afternoon, right after school ended. The car ride was about 3 hours. That may not seem like a long time, but with a baby in the car, it seemed to take forever. Babies cry a lot. When we finally got to the little house that we had rented for the weekend, everyone was tired and went to sleep quickly.…

May of 2008, I moved from a homogenous, developing suburban city of Vietnam to the demographically diverse and well developed Bay Area. It was a hard journey, having to uproot my entire existence to start a new life in a country I don’t even know anything about other than its involvement during the Vietnam War. My life was spun upside down to downside up because my parents thought this country would give my brother and me better futures.…

My family takes a trip to the same place about every two summers. The ride isn't always fun to get there because it is 2 and a half hours away. The trip is in Philadelphia Mississippi, where we go to Geyser Falls water park. It is always hot, a cool breeze, water slides, pools, birds, food, and many people. My family really enjoy going to the water park during the summer. We usually take about 3 days of vacation.…

Some people say that the journey is the destination. That was very true for our trip. We stopped at many wonderful and exciting places along the way, such as an abandoned salt mine in Kansas where we were able to venture deep into the mine. That was a strange and unique experience for me. We also stopped in Tulsa, Oklahoma to see the University of Tulsa. I actually got to go play around on their real game field. That was one of the coolest things that I have ever been able to do on a college campus. We also went to see Mount Rushmore for a second time. It was just as majestic and breathtaking the second time around. It truly is one of the…

One warm summer day my family was frantically rushing to gather all our belongings for a week long adventure out west. We were trying our best to squeeze every item in the car; finally we were ready to depart from home. I was just fourteen years of age at the time and had never been more than a few states away. The ride there was beyond exciting, but extra long. I believe most of that was due to the anticipation of when we would finally reach the great state of Colorado.…
