Personal Narrative-Jack's Misanthrope
Walking to school, a ladybug landed on Jill, which is a felicitous sign that the day was going to be a very good one.
Henry didn't know he was a misanthrope until he realized that the reason why he took night shifts and hid out in his home during the day was for the sole reason of avoiding people.
Jack's pertinacious attempts to convince Jill to give him her old teddy bear, spanned for six years until Jill finally had enough and gave in.
Henry was given the death sentence for stealing a candy bar by the state court but the federal court ruled his sentence as inordinate and punished him with community service instead.
The crying babies and screaming people exacerbated the deafening sound of the emergency alarm, giving me a pounding headache

I relate to this story very well. I am sort of like Tom where I like to go out and have fun, but somehow get in trouble. I don’t know if I would go and steal gold coins, although it might be enjoyable. I think it would be fun going out with friends and stirring up trouble. It would also be great if I could get someone to do my chores and work for me. Tom seems like he has so much fun on his adventures, even though he does some things he is not supposed to do. Tom and I are sort of alike, we both hate school just want to sit outside or go on adventures. I also would like to live back in his day, no TV, internet, not even a phone your entertainment is going around the town. Back in those days you would have no fear of robbers or even murders,…

As soon as the new year came into existence, I created a list of goals to complete in 2016, all of which I plan to complete with gusto (I love that word, it sounds so silly). One of those goals (#5 on my list actually) is to finally get my hands on a first edition of The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux and stare at it in wonder as if it were a fairy princess riding a unicorn into the sunset. I don't even have to purchase it, just hold it and touch it like it is a priceless treasure (which it is).…

Tom wondered for what seemed to be the millionth time why Dectives were required to dress like wall-street bankers or stock analysts. At least that was the expectation in public, however the moment he had the office to himself, he unknotted his tie, slipped off the linen suit jacket, and undid the top button of his shirt, then sat back in his chair, raised his eyes to the ceiling, and tapped the tip of a ballpoint pen against his teeth. That was Tom's usual mode of concentration and contemplation, and so intent was the man's focus on the new case that all else slipped from his mind, even the recollection that he'd texted his wife. Therefore, the sudden familiar sound of her voice, accompanied by the enticing aroma of barbecue, startled him, and he immediately shot upright. The sight of Lila elicited a smile that only widened with the greeting and kiss. "Sorry baby."…

We rushed out of the door as we felt relieved that the horrifying experience was finally over, but it was definitely worth the long, but seemingly short wait into the asylum. There has been many cases in which I have helped an outsider feel welcome. One time in particular is when I played tag with this little boy at church since he was new and no one else played with him. Originally, I was outside eating candy and talking to my friends at church. I noticed that this little boy was standing all alone watching all the other little kids play without him. I thought that maybe he was upset so I went over to him and asked if he wanted the rest of my gummy worms. He seemed nervous at first, but eventually he started talking to me. I learned that he was five years old and he was visiting his grandparents for the weekend. His older brother was outside playing basketball with some of the other older boys at the church, and…

Farmington, New Mexico 2003, 11 years old and in love with my broken down racehorse, his name was Gentleman or “Gentleman Hawk” according to his papers. We had gotten Gentleman from a sale barn for a measly 400 dollars, he was in real bad shape but my father and I nursed him back to health. When Gentleman was at full health I would run him across the pasture, back and forth until it was dark or my parents called me for supper, it was a time in my life with few worries and very little stress but this horse just brought me so much joy, it was a relationship that I look back on and cherish. Horses had always been such a big part of my families’ life and since I was the only child in the family who would go ride on his own, I really…

As I was writing my personal narrative for my composition 1 class, it easily made my mind boggle. After I had got started on my personal narrative, it was easy for me to keep writing and keep following along the story line. The main strength of mine that the essay played to was my creativity and my flexibility for different writings, because I have never written an essay as serious and sad as this one, but I did have to add my happy ending when I finished the story. I wanted it to be very attention grabbing with a twist, but I also wanted it to be very emotional.…
