Over the past few months, I have not purchased many things for myself or my apartment . I have purchased a storage container, Amazon Prime, and Bath bombs.I purchased the storage container for my utensils and other things in my kitchen. Because my apartment is small I have a little to no cabinet space which is why I opted to buy additional space. I thought about getting a wall caddy for my utensils and cookware but then I realize I needed the wall space so something that was on the floor and easy to fit into different areas will be my best option.

The first house my father built was constructed room by room and took more than 25 years to be built, a continuous work in progress. The original house was built in the standard square format without standard electricity and started with just four rooms: living room, dining room, kitchen and bedroom. The bathroom was located about 70 feet away in a little draw or valley from the house, which during the winter could be cold as the wind blew snow in during the most inopportune moments. New square rooms were attached to old square rooms as the house expanded outward to accommodate our growing family.…

I managed to spit out, though it sounded more like blabbering than what I would have liked. With a few seconds to spare, I passed my ticket to the flight attendant, panting as I walked through the narrow aisle in search for my seat. like a sack of potatoes, I threw myself onto the cream cushions, submerging myself into the seat as if it was a second home.…

Shouts and laughter echo throughout the kitchen as my grandparents recount stories of growing up in Mexico as young adults. Everyone’s eyes light up with animation as family members contribute to the conversation while eating homemade tamales and menudo. I remember when they kicked us out. It was only a couple of weeks ago. We Indians were minding our own business when the troops first came. They dragged us out of our tents and sent us walking with only the clothes on our back. My family decided to go to the Oklahoma region along with our tribe. And so here we are, walking through forests, woods, and plains on The Trail of Tears, looking for our destination. We have been walking since, and our clothing can do nothing against the harsh rain, snow, and coldness.…

As I was writing my personal narrative for my composition 1 class, it easily made my mind boggle. After I had got started on my personal narrative, it was easy for me to keep writing and keep following along the story line. The main strength of mine that the essay played to was my creativity and my flexibility for different writings, because I have never written an essay as serious and sad as this one, but I did have to add my happy ending when I finished the story. I wanted it to be very attention grabbing with a twist, but I also wanted it to be very emotional.…

Starting from a place I remembered as a teen, moving from a place that was warm to a place that had all four seasons; such as winter, spring, summer and fall. The First place that I grew up was surrounded by mountains. During the winter it was full of white snow, something that I was never used to seeing coming from California where all one would see was sandy beaches and the waves clasping one another. As I remember being so new to Park City, UT all I could see was the wonderful views of trees, mountains and people skiing or snowboarding. I have to say this was a fond memory because for the firs time I was actually able to experience the feeling of what winter was…

I was born in Atlanta, Georgia, but I was raised in Gonzales, Tamaulipas, Mexico. As long as I remember my child hood was amazing, sometimes I wish I could go back in time to relive those moments with my cousins, friends and family. My environment was really poor, I remember my grandparents had a lot of pigs, cows, sheep, hens and horses. My cousins and I would always play with the pigs, we would chase them, feed them, only one time we all played with them in the mud and took them a shower. We would also help my grandparents feed the rest of the animals. My grandparents had a big house so there was always work to do like water the plants, wash dishes, clean the living room etc. My house was just a block away and in the same block that I lived also…
