Personal Narrative: Getting A Dog
Getting a dog
Buzz.. Buzz… Buzz… another Christmas! I wake up to the sight of a plain view outside, the sun glistening onto the golf course outside my window. No snow and i can probably go outside in shorts. The consequences of living in the lone star state includes no snow and many other downsides, I don't mind though. I pull on my favorite fuzzy snowman socks and hop down each step until I finally reach the bottom of the stairs. I look at the tree which reached to touch the top of the room. At the bottom was a never ending pile of gifts, one stacked upon another it seemed like it would take years to unwrap them all.
After a huge breakfast of many different foods everyone gets to open their gift. I automatically go to a pink wrapped present signed for me. Inside was a dog leash, collar, tennis balls and a stuffed animal that's a dog. I jump to the thought that it's just a stuffed animal, another gift, another present. I automatically pose for a picture from my mom's camera. She refuses to take the picture. Everyone in my family gives me a look like I just turned into a elephant. I don't get

As I pace down the aisle of pets none really catch my eye. I turn to talk to my mom and sister, but they’re not there. I get slightly concerned. Suddenly a hand pulled me into a room.

It was my sisters, she pulled me into a tiny room with her, my mom, and a tiny furball with nubs instead of legs. I soon realised that in front of me was a dog, the dog i've been dreaming about, the cutest dog i've ever seen, the perfect breed, color, and even lazy. When I first came into the room the golden puppy looks my direction and plops onto the floor.
Once we brought the dog home he got so excited he peed. A week later we finally decided to name the dog chewie, after Chewbacca from Star Wars. From that moment on, we had a new member of our family, Chewie

Burberry is the first dog I ever had when I got it it was the most best day in my life. I was driving to foothill for my brothers football game, it was so cold that my fingers were going to fall off. When we got there my brother started warming up and there was this enormous park right next to it where I always would go when my brother would be doing football. My sister and I hung out at the park, after a little while though we stopped and we sat down on the chairs my dad had set down on the grass. When we did I thought I saw my aunt and I did I ran up to her but as I did I forgot my shoes were untied and tripped over on the grass. As I began to get up I saw Dirt all on me it got me so angry when my sister started laughing at me that I went over there pulled some grass out of the dirt and threw it straight at her head as if I was throwing a football.…

It all began when a was a little boy and all I wanted was a dog, for years I begged and begged, and still no dog. I felt as if I was incomplete without one, I had even written persuasive essays in school on why I should get a dog and waited and just hoped for it. Finally, when I was in 5th grade, I found a church ministry where we met once month and came up with ideas to raise money for the local rescue. During the meetings, we would also go for a walk, those who had animals would walk them. One time, somebody from the rescue came with one of the rescue dogs for the walk, which inspired me to go to the rescue and check it out.…

Imagine this, I was sitting on an overstuffed couch, focusing on a gigantic screen enjoying the adventurous movie, Bolt, when I heard the scratching of paws across the room. The memory of the first day I met my furry fluffball is important to me because of the strong loving relationship we have shared.…

Goldendoodle puppies are what you would imagine to be a life size teddy bear in the palm of a hand. At first glance, some will ponder on the fact if they are tangible or dreamed upon. Bringing home my first goldendoodle puppy, Charlie Brown, was the ultimate feeling, he is a dark, creamy brown coat with a reddish tint. His fur feels immensely like the inside of a new pair of Ugg boots. My love for him is unconditional, except for waking up in the early hours of the morning with his horrendous puppy breathe. Not to mention I also failed to remember the irritating barking that occurred so often. If all of these compelling things intrigue you, I commend that you find yourself a Charlie Brown like I have.…

This morning I woke up and noticed something was different. I got out of bed and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth, as usual, but when I tried to grab the toothpaste, my hand was a paw. I remembered that I had told my parents I was going to a friend’s house to get ready for school in the morning so they didn’t think I was home. This gave me time to develop a plan.…
