Personal Narrative: Genetically Modified Organisms And Supplemental Nutrition
The majority of us are not experts in nutrition. For example, my expertise lies in the realm of the internet. I am a web

developer/programmer. It is no secret that in order to enjoy life and perform well in my profession, I need to fuel my body.

Unfortunately, when it comes to nutrition, I have skimped and assumed for way too long. I have attempted to eat healthy yet, I have also

filled my body with plenty of "low grade" fuel. The result over time, I began to experience the physical consequences.

I knew how to find the truth, I simply chose not to do so. It was only after I started to notice significant health consequences that I

began to ask questions. Was it too late? Absolutely not however, I am becoming increasingly alarmed by how much I have learned.

In the past, I have listened to advice when it was convenient, and payed no attention when it was not. I

have ignored advice from health conscious individuals, even doctors. I only have to look in the mirror to see the reality of my choices.

I want to share a bit of what I have learned about nutrition. And please, do not take my word for it. I encourage you to ask questions.

Look beyond the first few results from search engine queries. Seek out articles, papers, and documentaries that provide objective, expert

opinions, and references. Keep an open mind, use your intuition, and follow the facts.

For instance let's evaluate a common belief like, "Vitamins and Supplements make for very expensive urine". I have learned that we simply

cannot take this at face value. What I discovered when I dug a little deeper is that, this statement can be true. What I didn't know is

that, this statement is entirely contingent on the quality of vitamins, the type of vitamins (water vs. fat soluble), and the presence

The reason I chose this strategy is because I think that many of us could benefit from this subject. There are times when we all make a choice based on something we find out later was too good to be true. Then we are left with the fallout of that decision. This can create a hardship on others around us simply because of the consequences of our own poor judgment.…

“Evidence” by Kathryn Schulz covers the topic of exactly what our beliefs are based on, and just how hard it is for us to admit we are wrong. Throughout our lives, we all experience moments when we realize we were wrong about something. For a majority of the time, these moments are small and somewhat insignificant to the rest of our lives. However, that is not always the case. You probably cannot imagine the difficulty of discovering a belief you held for your entire life was utterly wrong, yet that is exactly what happened to me. I needed very little evidence to form my original beliefs, and this evidence was not high quality or impartial in the least. Not only that, but I needed far more evidence to change my beliefs than what was needed…

I said “yes” to every form of treatment a doctor offered me. I kept to strict guidelines for my diet, exercise, and bedtime. I filled out dozens of job applications. I read every book I could get my hands on and took scores of free classes and moocs I found online. I knew my every move was being closely scrutinized and pathologized. I knew I had to do everything in my power to get myself out of this purgatory.…

I usually wake up at 6 o'clock in the morning. Then I take some water and drink. After some time I get fresh, brush my teeth, have a walk. During the walk, I use to listen music. After having walk, I take my breakfast. In breakfast, bread and milk are my daily food apart from other foods. Then I give a quick look on my previous class notes for the quiz exam in class. After that I get ready for college. I spend usually 3 to 4 hours in class. In the class, I am involved in activities like study, group discussion etc. Then I return back my room at around 1 pm and then I take a bath. Then I go for lunch. After having a nap, again I go to college for my project work. There I work for 3 to 4 hours. In my project, I read different books, discuss with…
