Erica and Danny were able to get Bill out of the chamber and to the decontamination showers. Once she was satisfied he was clean of all radiation they placed him on the gurney and transported him to sick bay. After arriving in sick bay they placed him on an exam table, which quickly displayed his vitals, which weren’t good. Erica knew there wasn’t much she could do for radiation poisoning, except to make Bill as comfortable as possible. On a side note all three of the examine tables were full; she never thought it would happen, at least not this soon. “Doctor Sanders, how is Doctor DaFrank?” Elle asked. Sanders? This is Bell.” “What can I do for you Staff Sergeant? I’m a bit busy.” “I wanted to give you an update on Dr. DaFrank.” “Alright, go ahead.” “He’s awake, but vomiting, he’s also complaining of a massive headache and he’s burning up.” “There’s not a lot we can do, try to make him as comfortable as possible. Give him some Ibuprofen eight hundred milligrams – give him four. Get the ice packs out and place them along his body to keep him cool. Keep him hydrated, with water and Gatorade, even if he continues to vomit. Does he have any diarrhea?” “No mam, should I discontinue the IV? I’m afraid with the vomiting he might rip it out.” “Take the IV out, but continue to hydrate him, let me know when the diarrhea starts.” “Yes, mam.” The connection was broken. “Doctor I think we have something here.” Elle said. Erica looked at the results that Elle had posted on her console screen, “My God, is this it?” She asked Elle. “Meet you at sick bay Elle.” “See you there Doc.” Sick bay was just around the corner as in distance, it wasn’t a long walk. Erica entered the sick bay, “Welcome back!” Elle said. “Thank you Elle.” By this time Erica was getting used to the computers newly devised sense of humor. She walked over to bed where Bill was laid out. “I’m going to need you to prop him up while I feed this to him and then once he’s drank it he needs to sit up for another ten minutes.” She told SSG Bell. “I’ve got it mam, no worries.” SSG Bell responded. SSG Bell lifted Bill up, he wasn’t heavy, Bill was not a big man and the Staff Sergeant, like the other PJ’s, were in excellent shape and strong. “Ok, hold him still.” She told SSG Bell. “Bill, Bill…look at me.” Erica said sternly to him. Bill looked at her; he was doing his best to focus on her. “I need for you to drink all of this and not throw it up.” Erica told
