Personal Narrative: A Career In Massage Therapy
Over the past five years I had been working as a massage therapist. I chose massage therapy because I enjoyed working with people and had a passion for helping others. Although rewarding, there is a high level of physical demands required to meet the needs of each patient. As a therapist I placed each clients care first ensuring the integrity of each treatment, regardless of whether it was my first or last session. Integrity is a value I hold in the highest esteem. To me this means doing my absolute best in every task even when no one is watching. I choose to follow this code in every area of my life. This mindset helped me become the lead therapist and trainer. My motivation to work as a therapist was guided by a desire to help others.
