Passion
What is my passion? I feel as though I have many things I am passionate about in life. I'm also sure I will learn new things I am passionate about as I become more educated and grow older and wiser. To name a few I am passionate about animals, reading legal case studies, raising my daughter to be a strong and independent lady, education and lifelong learning. My passion that I will be talking about includes hard work, dedication, motivation, and education. My passion is to provide my daughter with everything that I feel wasn't offered to me. To make sure she takes hold of every great opportunity in front of her. To make sure nothing passes her by, I have a passion to teach her everything I have learned and to help her and be there whenever she needs me. My passion is to have the relationship with my daughter that I always wanted with my mother.
"And mothers are their daughters' role model, their biological and emotional road map, the arbiter of all their relationships" by Victoria Secunda.(Quote Garden, 2011) This quote ties in perfectly to my passion for my mother-daughter relationship. What is a role model? A role model is someone others look up to. They create a want in others to better themselves. Anyone can be a role model. Nowadays, I'm working on being a good role model for my daughter and she seems to be my role model in that process. What a great little person she is! Little girls imitate their mothers and look up to them for emotional support. This quote is basically saying that everything I do ultimately effects what my daughter will do. It's like follow the leader; to instill leadership in a person one must be a good leader.
"A daughter needs a mom to make sure she keeps true to her heart, to comfort her through her tears, to challenge her to strive for what is just beyond her reach." (Lang, 2004) These are just some of things needed from a mother to a daughter. The mother daughter bond is necessary in the development of raising a little girl to be

Shaping a great role model is also extremely important for a mother, since children always learn from people who live with them. We can clearly see some examples in A Bridge to Wiseman’s Cove. When Kerry left her children, the eldest sibling in the family Sarah, took holidays of her own soon after, because Kerry had never taught her to look after her younger brothers, and she was just copying what her mother had done. And Harley, he is a naughty kid that had stolen food and drawn pictures on Nugent’s store. But no one should punish him for his behaviour, because he is only a ten-year-old and his mother has never taught him not to do such things. Consequently, a bad role model of a mother can lead an immature kid to some bad habits.…

One of many important roles that my mom plays in my life is that of a teacher and counselor. She has taught, and still teaches, about life and anything right and wrong in the world. An example would be that no matter how complicated something can get, never give up and walk away after the first try. Dale Carnegie, a famous writer and lecturer, once said; “Most of the things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.” (Walter 1) Another would be just because you see someone do something that seems bad, but does not get in trouble, do not…

One of the major characters in the novel is Jed Parry, one of the main male leads. Jed is a harsh Christian, to put it kindly “Please leave your message after the beat. And the may the Lord be with you”. After the ballooning incident, he develops a voracious obsession with Joe Rose, who we know has a wife; Clarissa. Jed doesn't seem like the violent type, though the power of his obsession is itself a kind of violence. He describes his love for Joe in his various letters and phone messages, as something dictated by God. He sees himself, as the result of Joe's escape. The tension here is a slight variation of that between Joe and Clarissa. It revolves around the battle between science and faith.…

A mother-daughter relationship is very crucial in a girl’s life. It is widely known that if a girl doesn’t have her mother to turn to for everything, she will most likely turn to her friends. The “mother and daughter” bond should be the closest bond a girl can have. No friend should measure up to the closeness you share with your mother. It is sometimes very difficult for this to happen for many different reasons. In many cases, the mother will feel like her daughter doesn’t understand because she is young. Likewise, the daughter might feel like she can’t tell her mother certain things because she will not understand where she is coming from, since she is much older. That is one big issue that most relationships between a mother and daughter contain. There are three easy ways of maintaining a healthy mother-daughter relationship.…

If the psychological state that we are in can affect how we feel so much, it raises the question of what is happening when we do feel an emotion. Is it purely psychological, which correlates with it? Alternatively, is it that, unconsciously, we recognise the psychological state that our body is in and attribute feelings to it, depending on what is happening at the time? In psychology, emotion is often defined as a complex state of feeling that results in physical and psychological changes that influence thought and behaviour. Emotionality is associated with a range of psychological phenomena including temperament, personality, mood and motivation. Many psychologists have investigated this question, and developed theories to explain what is happening. One of the first is called the James-Lange Theory of Emotion, because it was developed by William James and Carl Lange. James argued that what is happening when we feel an emotion, like fear, anger or sadness is that we are unconsciously seeing the psychological changes that happen in the body. For instance, if you trip going down the stairs, you would grab the handrail in a reflex way before you actually fall, causing your heart to beat faster. James argued that the actual event is not what makes us frightened, but that our fear comes from the psychological changes that happen as result of the event. With these changes, there would be no emotion.…
