Most are 4x4s except when they are equipped with tracks. The sides of the wheels are independent of each other in that the instructions where the loader will turn is identified by the speed of the wheel and the direction of the rotation of the wheels. The good thing about this too is that it is capable of zero-radius turning, that makes it nimble and easy to maneuver.…

Trophy Trucks are the fastest class of off-road racing vehicles which are designed and built to resemble modern pickup trucks. Although any truck that meets the safety standards can race the trophy truck class, they, for the most part, feature long travel suspensions and high power engines. They are intended for desert racing, and are not street legal. Trophy Trucks can reach speeds in excess of 135 miles per hour even over rough terrain. This puts them among the fastest off-road vehicles in the world. The trucks are most frequently associated with the Baja 1000 race, series that have featured trophy trucks including SCORE International, and Best In The Desert or BITD, in which they are referred to as "Trick Trucks".…

Driving is inherently dangerous, especially when sharing the road with semi trucks. While you can mitigate this danger by increasing your following distance behind these big rigs, passing one on a multilane road forces you to drive within a few feet of it. Likewise, only a few feet separate you from oncoming trucks on a two lane road. Because you can't entirely avoid these situations, you have to trust that the truck doesn't lose control or otherwise harm you.…

Also, since RFID tags are able to store information about the object it is affixed to (location, case counts, etc.), the picking and truck loading processes will see major improvements. Whenever the pallet is created, the number of cases and pallet location can be stored in the tag and placed on the pallet. Pallet movement can then be detected by readers placed within the warehouse for improved warehouse visibility. This allows for employees to locate pallets quicker and reduce time required to move pallets to outgoing docks for shipment. Also, inbound and outbound pallet inspection during the truck loading process will be faster, more accurate, and require fewer resources. RFID readers at the loading docks will be able to automatically check the identity of a pallet when it is moved onto or off the truck, eliminating the need for manual scanning. Therefore, less supervision would be required throughout the loading process (See Exhibit 3).[…

Draglines fall into two broad categories: those that are based on standard, lifting cranes and the heavy units which have to be built on-site. Most crawler cranes with an added winch drum on the front can act as a dragline. These units (like other cranes) are designed to be dismantled and transported over the road on flatbed trailers. Draglines used in civil engineering are almost always of this smaller, crane type. These are used for road, port construction, pond and canal dredging, and as pile driving rigs. These types are built by crane manufacturers such as Linkbelt and Hyster.…

Excavators are heavy construction equipment consisting of a boom, stick, bucket and cab on a rotating platform known as the "house".[1]The house sits atop an undercarriage with tracks or wheels. A cable-operated excavator uses winches and steel ropes to accomplish the movements.[2] They are a natural progression from the steam shovels and often called power shovels. All movement and functions of a hydraulic excavator are accomplished through the use of hydraulic fluid, with hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic motors.[3] Due to the linear actuation of hydraulic cylinders, their mode of operation is fundamentally different from cable-operated excavators.…
