Overwhelm's Jerseys
These essays were all very interesting and engaging for the audience. The first essay, the evaluations of jerseys, was appealing because he gave a good introduction and gave pictures of his top jerseys. The criteria for the jerseys was clear, concise, and easy to evaluate. At the author also gave good reasoning for his evaluations of his jerseys in his explanations. The idea of choosing a few of his favorites from each team helped to not overwhelm readers with a huge abundance of jerseys to remember, but giving the list at the end with the rankings of all of his jerseys was a nice touch. I like the order of the rankings, but I think the alphabetical list is unnecessary. The second essay, focused on the evaluations of evaluations, was very amusing. The author was keeping his mood light and happy. Throughout the essay, it was clear their intention. The criteria and methodology seemed fitting for the evaluation. Their choice of ideas to evaluate were evidently important to the author, which is important. Some of the ideas may seem a bit odd, but to me they give the readers more insight into who the author is. The author’s reasoning behind his choice is clear and easy to understand. The idea was fine, but it is hard for readers to make their own opinions. The first two essays were easy for readers to either agree or disagree with the author. This essay on gummy bears is hard for readers to understand where the author is coming from because they cannot taste all of the gummy bears themselves, which is understand. The essay was well written and gives a lot of detail, but there is still a sense of uncertainty to the readers. While it does provide a bit of trust for the author, the readers aren’t as engaged because they cannot form their own opinion. Other than that fact, the essay was well designed.
