First I had to determine my daily requirements by using a calorie calculator. I was able use the weight loss calculator to determine the time and calorie deficit required to reach my target weight. For my optimal weight loss I reduced my calories to 15-20% below maintenance. One of the biggest and most key ways is to exercise for at least 20 minutes a day. The types of exercise needed are running, riding a bicycle, swimming, and other activities that get your heart rate up. In the case of type 2 diabetes when people start to get obese there is too much fat around the muscles and liver so the insulin cannot properly make it too where it needs to go. Exercise will boost the amount of mitochondria in the muscles, make your body burn energy, and eventually if done correctly help you lose fat weight.…

Two weight management programs that I found are the HCG diet, and the Atkins diet. HCG is human chorionic gonadotropin. You must take a couple drops a day of this chemical and place yourself on a very strict 500 calorie daily diet. You are only allowed to eat certain foods and cannot have any sugar. The program claims that you will lose a pound a day and not feel hungry while only eating 500 calories. The cost involved of this program is purchasing the HCG drops which are available on amazon for about $25 for a 40 day supply. It is recommended to stay on the program for 40 days unless you have to lose less than 20 pounds for which they only recommend 20 days.…
