Observation Of Materials In Child Development
2.a. The materials that I will offer for the children of the age 4 and 5 is pencil crayons, crayons, galaxy paper, and construction paper. b. For the after class I will offer markers, chalk, galaxy paper, and construction paper. The selection I used for (a) is the pictorial/Schematic stage because children of the age 4 and 5 are at pictorial/Schematic stage (). Children at the age 4 and 5 need tools that are easily controlled and be able to produce their symbol. By giving the children materials at age 4 and 5 that is pencil crayons, crayons, galaxy paper, and construction paper will help the child to produce his or her symbol. The selection I used for (b) is controlled scribbling where children are able to scribble in lines or make circles.
