Reflections (Experiences of delivering the presentation of the QIP):
Consider the situation/Collect information
During the presentation of my QIP, I felt pressurised by the limited of time that I have for the presentation. However, I felt more confident after the presentation as I was able to present all the contents within the time limit. I also received some valuable feedbacks from the audiences and the markers.

Process information/Identify problem
The feedback from the marking rubric shows my ability to link the quality project to the National standards and guideline. Also, I demonstrate my strength of summarising the current literature review, explaining and justifying the methodology, handling the audiences’ questions and keeping the

My second goal is to justify the first objective in my project. I will justify why educating the staff about the bedside handover system is considered as important. I took action to conduct the research on both aims.

Evaluate outcome
I didn’t find any articles mentioning the association between the bedside handover and the patient length of stay. Nevertheless, I found two studies suggested that bedside handover helps the nurses to effectively discharge the patients reducing the chances of delayed discharge (Wendy Chaboyer et al., 2009; Wendy Chaboyer, McMurray, & Wallis, 2010). Therefore, I believe that changing to bedside handover practice can help to improve the work efficiency of the nurses resulted in faster discharged rate and decreasing patients’ length of stay.
To justify my project first objective, one study shows that nurses are more compliant with the new bedside handover system after attending the educational sessions (Anderson & Mangino, 2006). It helps me to justify that educating the staffs is important to improve their level of compliance with the new

Reflections (Experiences of viewing other QIP presentation):
Consider the situation/Collect information
I am glad to have the opportunity to see different presenters presenting their QIP. It helps me to identify the area that I did good and bad in my presentation. I collect the information by carefully listening to their presentation contents, observing their presentation skills and writing down the key points.

Process information/Identify problem
Comparing to other presenters, I realised that I am able to present calmly, handling presenters’ question appropriately and keeping my presentation in time.
By reflecting the presentation from others, I picked up some good techniques which help me to incorporate them into my QIP presentation in the future. For example, using the timeline and animation, distributing handouts and showing the available online
