Nursing entrance essay
Nursing is a career that offers the opportunity to help others and make a difference in their lives.

I want to be a nurse because I enjoy helping people, and I get internal satisfaction by serving those that need help.

Nurses provide an invaluable service to society, and being part of that group has long been an ambition of mine. I am a person that possesses all personality traits needed for nursing. I am helpful, trustworthy, understanding, kind, and compassionate. I want to be competent, and learning at this school would help me realize my dream. I know I can use the best parts of my character in this profession.

Becoming a nurse will help me accomplish my professional goal. I want to help people achieve and maintain good health, to make them feel special. I would like to help make a difference in the lives of sick people, and educate our communities in the issues of healthy livings and wellness.

I am responsible, detail oriented, reliable, caring, sympathetic, honest, good team worker, organized, I have good communication skills and good observation skills, emotional stability and stress tolerance, I am a fast learner, I know that any weakness I have can be worked on, and can eventually be strength. I focus a lot on caring for others; sometimes, in doing so, I focus less on myself and more on others.

I enjoy having a healthy life and, at the same time, I encourage others to have healthy habits; my favorite hobby is exercising. I love going to the gym with friends, this is good for health and it is the best relaxing thing to me.

You feel satisfied when you can do something for others. One thing I have accomplished that has given me a great satisfaction was to go to my native country, Cuba, when my grandmother was ill. Even though I had a hard economic situation at that time, I did almost the impossible and went to be with my grandma in her last days, I took her the medicine and food that she needed, but the most important thing: I gave

Evidence proves that the growth in advanced nursing practice contributes to the improved access to general care (Aiken et al., 2009 as cited by Cronenwett, 2011). A growing body of research documents that hospitals with a larger proportion of bedside nurses with BSNs or higher qualifications are associated with significantly lower risks of patient mortality. This has motivated many hospitals and public health agencies to require applying nurses to have a BSN degree; especially teaching hospitals (Cronenwett, 2011). It is then, just as much expected that nurses who achieve a MSN degree have an even lower risk of patient mortality, while working as a bedside nurse. It is highly recommended that all associate level nurse continue on their education all the way to a master level and even doctorate.…

A degree in Nursing could help me follow the path that I have wanted to obtain, for myself and for my family. As a first generation, there are high expectations for me to achieve and continue my studies to provide my sisters with a role model. Picking a college to attend was a pretty big deal to my parents than it was for me, for instance, they wanted me to attend a school that would provide me with a lot of financial aid, a school where it is small enough that I do not blend in, and a school that is known for their Nursing program. With that it lead me to this university, knowing that a small institute would provide me with a better outlook rather than a larger university. My experience so far has been a roller coaster, mostly downs. It was a big transition, going from high school where everything is given to you and you follow the material, to a setting where you have to set yourself and prioritize on what is important and disciplining yourself. The material is quite different as well, in high school, we went over the general and basics of a material while in college we review the basics but go even further into the…

Nursing is a career not just a job, nursing is treating people as a disease, but as a unique individual who has his/her own values, beliefs, needs, and also treat the family with respect, compassion, patience, and show that we care. I chose nursing because I have always liked helping people. Ever since I was a little girl I liked helping and I would tell my dad that if he was ever sick I would take care of him so he could get better. At first I wanted to be a doctor, a pediatrician to be exact, but I chose nursing because, nurses have more contact with patients and nursing school is shorter than medical school. I know I made the right choice because as I have been doing clinicals, I have been falling more and more in love with what nurses do, but throughout the process I have also seen what kind of nurse I do not want to be. During clinicals there was an agency nurse a patient did…
