Task 1
Internal system unit components:
Processor
The processor is the brain of the computer. It handles all instructions in programs loaded into RAM and gets information from the HDD or SSD. It handles data in binary.
Motherboard
This is a circuit board that connects the CPU with the RAM and the hard drive
BIOS
It stands for basic input/output system and it is is the program a computer's processor uses to get the computer system started after it is switched on. It also controls data flow between the computer's operating system and attached devices. It also tells the CPU where the OS is.
Power Supply
This is the wire that connects the computer to the power socket so the computer has power to work with.

Linux or Windows, DOS, MAC OS
Windows is a GUI operating system as is MAC OS. MAC OS can only be on an apple computer and it costs £1000 approximately including the computer whereas windows costs around £617 including the computer for the pro edition. Windows also has more software made for it. Windows also has more security options than MAC as on windows you can restrict what certain users can do with some files. MAC has more settings than windows making it easier to customise but removing software is not as simple as it is on windows
CLI and GUI Operating Systems (Command Line/Graphic User Interface)
A CLI operating system has the user type commands into a terminal whereas a GUI operating system has the user click on files and folders to open/navigate. Most GUI operating systems have a command line program with an example being the command prompt on windows

Security
Anti-malware can protect the computer from harmful software and this therefore speeds up the PC as harmful software can also slow down the PC. Many anti-malware software comes with other features that can speed up the PC
Clean up tools for the removal of cookies, defragmentation
This is used to speed up the loading of large files by re-writing them to the HDD. This only works for fragmented files as you cannot run defragmentation on a unfragmented file.
Drive formatting
Disk formatting is the process of a data storage media to be wiped of data for initial usage. When this is complete the formatted drive will have no data on it. This is useful when you are giving the drive to another person or recycling the drive (AUTHOR_UNKNOWN, Disk formatting,
