The quiet Jazzy rhythms do work as a backdrop to the photos, and landscapes, that act as the soundtrack for the opening credits. The Macombs Dam Bridge appears etched on Luke Cage's back, as he shadow-boxes, his right hook drives right through the intersection of Lenox Avenue and Malcolm X Boulevard. The guitars, the bass, the horns, play in the shadows of a driving beat, that samples an art, that inspires masterpieces. "Marvel's Luke Cage" even in its grittiest and violent moments, paid such homage to and showed the beauty of Harlem, that it inspired me to get off the bus and see the neighborhood.…

The book Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe is a fictional novel which includes a main character named Okonkwo. Okonkwo has some very distinguishing features about him, but the fact that he has a foil in the novel makes his features more noticeable. In Things Fall Apart, Obierika is a foil to Okonkwo.
