Know Your Priorities
As most of us know by now, technology has affected us in both negative and positive ways. It has certainly made our lives easier and convenient in more ways than one. Aside from the useful software and applications for work, we also gained access to entertaining forms of technological advancement such as online games and social networking. As much as it is fun and enjoyable, one could end up neglecting other important priorities such as family bond.
“One thing that appears clear is that computers are instruments of isolation; while it’s true they can be used to communicate with others, more often than not, that communication is with people that are not part of the family; thus, time spent on the computer is time spent apart from those people that love you most in the world.” Says Sam E. Video games can be used as a bonding tool between the family members yet sometimes, a simple game can get very heated and lead to full blown arguments and result to temper tantrums and or physical violence. Video games in general can be addicting which result many gamers to be very passionate about their plays. There has actually been an occurrence where a 13 year old boy killed his 16 year old brother over a video game. To be fair, it is not the game that caused this senseless violence, however this incident shows just how far this kind of addiction can lead
