Native Nurseries Logo Analysis
Hello Native Nurseries! With your store opening soon you must be very excited. Your business is sure to bring in many customers and provide them with the beauty of growth. Seeking to create an identity for your business, having a logo created is definitely a step in the right direction. By providing beautiful, fresh, healthy plants to the community, you have challenged me to emphasize the true nature of your business and the beauty of its name: Native Nurseries. You asked me to create a logo for Native Nurseries by using influence and inspiration from Paul Rand, the graphic Designer. Though it is 2017 and Rand was active mostly in the mid 20th century, many of his thought processes and philosophies of graphic design can still be applied today. …show more content…

The third request was to keep it to as few colors as possible. I definitely understand this because having too many colors has a couple negative consequences. The first, is that too many colors distracts the viewer and confuses them as to what they're supposed to look at first. The second, is that the more colors a design has, the more expensive it is to print, and since you are just starting out, the less expensive things are the better. I think you would agree that I …show more content…
The first thing I did when designing this logo was choosing a font. I wrote out the name of your company several times in different fonts to figure out which one looked and represented your company the best. After I picked a font, I looked at some dreamcatchers for reference and designed a simplified version of the ones I saw. Instead of showing the interlaced strings in the center of the dreamcatcher, I left those details out and instead I put two capital n's there after merging them together. I then put the name “Native Nurseries” underneath the dreamcatcher. When choosing colors, I decided to go with a red-violet color for the text, and black for the

The sculptures that adorn the acre-wide Cullen Sculpture Garden are not just an exhibit. They are an experience. They are to be walked amongst, and viewed as they are exposed to the elements. Nursing in its essence is the art of caring. It may seem a simple concept, as do works of art seem simple to the untrained eye, but in reality they are both complex forms of communication. “Art expresses what words usually fail to express and brings a sense of wholeness to the human consciousness.” (Chinn & Waston, 1994, p.20) Nursing strives to do just this; it strives to communicate where doctors’ jargon and complex medical treatments fail.…

Yellow Crown Supermarket will be symbolized by the logo shown above. The logo contains the name of the supermarket itself, YELLOW CROWN SUPERMARKET. In its center, a grocery cart with full of goods are shown. This implies that the supermarket offers a variety of things that a man needs. Above the cart, is a yellow crown. A crown symbolizes “of high standard” because only those that excel can have a crown (King, Winner of pageant etc.). It is yellow because yellow in business means cheap. To shorten it, the cart with a yellow crown on top signifies a variety of high quality goods offered in cheap prices. “TM” means trademark which signify that the logo was solely made for this establishment and it was not copied from anyone.…
